​​Louisa is sensitive, caring and compassionate and she centers on building empathetic relationships with her students. She believes that all individuals can be taught to learn to their potential and she customises programs to support different learner profiles. Her teaching philosophy is “learner is always right”, which is a core principle of Precision Teaching, that teachers should be a student of the learner’s behavior and adapt their teaching style to meet the unique needs of each learner.

Louisa has experience with a variety of teaching methodologies including Fluency Based Instruction, Direct Instruction, Verbal Behavior, Natural Environment Teaching, and Discrete Trial Training. She has worked with other behavior analysts and agencies to implement Precision Teaching, Fluency Based Instruction, and use cumulative based measures to improve instructional significance. In addition, Louisa has substantial experience in incorporating behavioral goals into play-based activities and projects and makes good use of naturalistic opportunities to accelerate learning. She ensures her learners are learning in fun.

Louisa is passionate about teaching children and teenagers and helping them grow. She places equal importance on social-emotional wellbeing in addition to academic knowledge. She includes emotional regulation activities in her teaching and assists her learners to confidently advocate for themselves and explore their strength areas and values.
